#28 - Kushiel's Mercy - Jacqueline Carey
Life has been insane. Work has been insane. No time for a real post. Going away to Willow Valley in Lancaster, PA the weekend of 8/1. Doing Dutch Wonderland with the kids on Saturday 8/2. Anyone interested in coming along? So far it's us, my sister's brood, and her friend's family as well. We did this trip about 2 years ago and the kids have a great time. Dutch Wonderland is an amusement park designed specifically for the toddler and pre-school set, for those not in the know.

Yeah, I am liking the Imriel stories better over all. Hell, Imriel puts it best when he notes that Phdre is Kushiels Chosen, a Servant and Naamah, and Joscelin is her perfect companion and the greatest swordsman of his age. They are larger than life characters who've done a sheerly boggling amount of things most people have no context for.
Whereas Imriel is almost a regular guy. We, the readers, can understand his plights.
